Description:
This is a preliminary drawing for a black board created in 2016. This rough is part of Greg's process to determine composition, pose, and attitude of his characters. These drawings are an exploration of the creative process for Greg.

Greg has never painted or drawn a character from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before! He has always been a fan of Heavy Metal magazine, and has appreciated the work of Kevin Eastman. Now, in 2016, Greg is excited to take on the TMNT universe! Many great artists and fans have drawn Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael, so Greg wanted to take a different approach. He loved the look of Bebop and Rocksteady, and could not resist the urge to draw them!

This piece is inspired by the first appearance of Bebop and Rocksteady in the 1980’s television series. Shredder has tasked the two gangsters to kidnap April O’Neil, and while they will ultimately fail to do so, Greg loved the idea of these two gruesome goons and a gorgeous girl!

Created by Greg in March 2016.
