Description: Thor vs. the Midgard serpent in this epic battle between god and monster! Greg greatly enjoyed painting his interpretation of the mighty legend and his powerful hammer, Mjolnir! In 1982, Greg Hildebrandt decided to do a series of paintings for a limited, numbered portfolio -- a group of prints-- titled, "Gods and Goddesses". He chose from the myths that he loved and the characters that he loved. Greg painted these images very large, as he believed there was no other size appropriate to contain a god.
