From the animated feature Alice in Wonderland, this merchandising puppet struck a chord with Greg. Its look of fear and panic perfectly captured many of his personal thoughts and feelings from a significant time in his career. As he began illustrating Luis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland, Greg went head first into a full-blown panic attack like Alice falling through the rabbit hole. Feeling alone, overwhelmed, and much like Alice, confused and lost for a time. The subject seemed the perfect vehicle to demonstrate that illustrating children's books is not just kid stuff.
