Lou Harrison
Lou Harrison is a cover artist who has worked for Marvel, DC, and Dark Horse comics. Some of his most notable work includes covers for Roger Zelazny's Nine Princes in Amber, Clive Barker's Hellraiser, Thor, and Conan. Lou was born in 1964 in Medellin, Columbia. He came to the United States at age 4, and a few years later, he bought his first comic book--Marvel's Mighty Thor, issue #250. Thor instantly became Lou's favorite super hero and the inspiration for Lou's love of fantasy art. Eventually, Lou attended the Joe Kubert school, and, after graduating, he spent a few years as a color separator and graphic designer in the garment industry.

Lou's first comic book cover work was for Marvel's 'The Savage Sword of Conan'. Aside from painting covers, Lou has also painted numerous Marvel characters for a variety of products and a chromium subset of 9 cards for the Star Wars Finest card set from Topps.

These days, Lou resides in Germany, where he works in advertising. In his personal life, Lou spends an enormous amount of time studying bodybuilders in an effort to truly understand the limits to which you can push your body. This passion for the human physique is driven by his love of art and his desire to never stop learning. Lou uses real people to pose for his characters, and is constantly searching for the next perfect model.
